AAA Advisory Council

Area Agency on Aging (AAA)

This KEDDO Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council is created under the auspices of the KEDDO Board of Trustees and individual members are appointed by the KEDDO Board of Trustees. The council serves in an advisory capacity of the KEDDO Board of Trustees in all matters concerning the aging population. They provide leadership and advocacy on behalf of older people (those 60 years of age or older) residing in the KEDDO Area Agency on Aging service area. The Advisory Council members are responsible in determining services needed in the KEDDO AAA area. They also help establish measurable program objectives and priorities for the implementation of the area plan. The members evaluate the activities carried out pursuant to the KEDDO AAA area plan, taking into consideration the views of the older people, and monitor the performance of contracting agencies and grantees under the area plan. Members provide an action program designed to coordinate the delivery of existing services and pool available resources of public and private agencies to strengthen or begin new services for older people.
