Trucks acquired through the Department of Defense and converted by departments.
The following trucks have been acquired from the US Department of Defense and screened by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture (Forestry Program). These trucks as available will be assigned to departments through the Rural Fire Coordinator. Each of the trucks have conditions that a department must meet and once all conditions have been satisfied the truck and title will be assigned to the department. For questions regarding this program or other related fire department needs please contact Larry Morgan, Rural Fire Coordinator at 1-800-722-8180. Congratulations to the Higgins Fire Department on the construction of their 1996 Freightliner. This truck is equipped with a 2,500 gallon tank and was completed for service November 15, 2006.
Congratulations to the Gaines Creek Fire Department on the construction of their 1985 Ford. This truck is equipped with a 200 gallon tank and is ready to assist them with brush fires.
Congratulations to the LeFlore Fire Department on the construction of their 1985 Chevy. This truck is equipped with a 300 gallon tank and is ready to assist them with brush fires.
Congratulations to the Murray Spur Fire Department on their 1995 Freightliner Tanker Truck. This truck is equipped with a 2,500 gallon tank and is ready to assist them with transporting water.
Congratulations to the Haywood/Arpelar Fire Department on the construction of their truck. This truck is equipped with a 200 gallon tank and is ready to assist them with brush fires.
Congratulations to the Hogeye Fire Department on the construction of their 1995 Freightliner truck. This truck is equipped with a 2,500 gallon tank and is ready to assist them with fire fighting and as a tanker truck. |
