The Oklahoma Rural Elderly Coalition (OREC) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides Transportation, Outreach, Assisted Transportation, Home Repair, Access Assistance for Caregivers, Medication Management and Health Promotion. Staff are trained to counsel seniors on Medicare and Medicaid issues through the Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program (SHICP).

Transportation is provided for seniors who need to travel to obtain necessary services such as doctor appointments, social service agency visits, grocery shopping, pharmacies visits and special recreational activities.

It is OREC’s policy that the project does not discriminate in admissions, access, treatment or employment in its programs or activities on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, age, ancestry, national origin, religion or disability; and a portion of the projects costs are met by state and federal Older Americans Act funds granted from the KEDDO Area Agency on Aging and the Department of Human Services Aging Service Division.
